The summer holidays are here and there is a great selection of events and activities for all the family to enjoy in and around Aylesbury. Find out about what’s on during the school holidays here.
The town centre has lots to offer across the holidays. Discover Bucks Museum will be open 7 days a week with a packed programme of activities for a Summer of Fun!
Aylesbury Library are running their ever-popular summer reading challenge. This year the theme is Marvellous Makers! You can sign up at the library now to take part and linked to the theme there are some great events to attend including story time, crafts and coding workshops.
At Queens Park Arts Centre there are arts, crafts and writing workshops for children and teens to enjoy including pottery and oil painting.
Summer playschemes will run throughout the holidays at the Jonathan Page Play Centre and there are exciting outdoor activity camps with Point Blank Adventures at Hogshaw Farm.
Further afield you can enjoy a Summer of Play at Waddesdon Manor, Summer Steamings at Buckinghamshire Railway Centre and Summer on the Farm at Hogshaw Farm and Wildlife Park.
The bank holiday sees the return of Parklife Weekend, a free community festival in Vale Park which promises to deliver entertainment for all the family. There will be events across the weekend kicking off on Friday with Pride in the Park. On Saturday Live in Park will be in full swing and Sunday’s line up includes Church in the Park, Battle of the Bands and Proms in the Park. A weekend not to be missed!
A great day out and highlight on the summer calendar for Aylesbury is Bucks County Show. Held at Weedon Park just outside Aylesbury it is one of the best one-day agricultural shows in the country with livestock, main ring attractions, trade stalls, food, competitions and displays to delight the whole the family.
