Wednesday Afternoon Tea & Talk: Exciting Finds @ Discover Bucks Museum

Loading Events

In this Tea and Talk join Arwen Wood our Finds Liaison Officer to learn more about The Portable Antiquities Scheme (PAS). This is a national scheme run through the British Museum, and the Buckinghamshire post is based at Discover Bucks Museum. The scheme records individual objects found by members of the public, and has included some of the objects in our galleries, including the Lenborough Hoard. Arwen will give a brief overview of treasure process and focus on some highlights of the exciting finds that have been found, and that represent the people of our past.  We’ll also look at what to do when you find the pot of gold, and handle some archaeological finds.

The talk will last approx. 30 minutes and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions after as you relax with your cream tea!

Book tickets here.
