Built in the 1750s the Georgian room is a wonderful atmospheric space to sit and dine in, looking out onto our beautiful garden. Enjoy delicate finger sandwiches, a scone with jam, clotted cream or butter and a selection of sweet treats along with a varied selection of teas and coffees to choose from. Whilst you enjoy your afternoon tea you will discover some fascinating facts about an aspect of our collections from one of our curatorial team. The Curators will show you a selection of items from our stores for you to handle and will tell you the fascinating stories behind them.
