A fantastic Christmassy family fun day! 11am – 5pm
Get a taste of what Christmas was like in the Tudor, Georgian and Victorian ages in our Christmas through the Ages day. Enjoy seeing the Museum beautifully decorated throughout with traditional decorations. Write your letter to Father Christmas and have fun sealing it with wax seals. Get crafty and make your own gilded walnuts to hang on your tree at home. Discover why the Tudors made Pomanders and have a go at making your own to take home.
1pm – Find out what sort of games people used to play in the Tudor, Georgian and Victorian ages to keep them entertained and have a go yourselves. Plus join in some traditional dancing in the garden (weather permitting).
11.30am and repeated at 3pm – Learn more from our ‘Tastes through Time’ talk.
5pm – 7pm – As the evening draws in, watch, listen and join in with our Carol and Christmas song concert in the garden (weather permitting) with the wonderful St Mary’s Choir, I Have a Voice Too and Aylesbury Rock Choir.
