A visit to the 11th floor of Buckinghamshire Council’s Walton Street Office – also known as County Hall. The visit includes some information about the history of the building and provides views across Aylesbury. What will you spot?
Known locally as Pooley’s Folly or Fred’s Fort, County Hall is a site that can be spotted for miles! With magnificent views, we would like to offer visitors a short tour of the building which will include some history about this one of a kind brutalist building which always divides opinion! You’ll be able to visit the 11th floor and see what you can spot from the window out towards Wendover and villages – on a clear day you might even see the monument at Coombe Hill. We welcome you to join us on this tour and also share your local knowledge, and ideas for local cultural community projects too. There will also be an opportunity to learn more about Buckinghamshire Council’s Community Boards and how you can get involved. Please bring binoculars if you have them!
Tours are running throughout the day at the times below and must be booked in advance. Tours last for around 45 minutes.
