With a Market Charter dating back to 1239 Aylesbury Market has a long history of serving local people and a reputation of being fair and friendly.

Held on Market Square, in the heart of the town, the market attracts both traditional traders and budding entrepreneurs so there’s always someone interesting to talk to and unique items to buy.

The historic general market operates every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 9am to 4pm. From fruit and vegetables, clothing, gifts and more, there is always a diverse range of products on sale.

On Friday a section of the general market is given over to Foodie Friday which includes fresh produce, including fruit, vegetables, fish and baked goods, being sold alongside international street food to take away. It’s a great opportunity to treat yourself to something special for lunch or sharing with friends and family.

Speciality markets are held throughout the year, The Sunday Market attracts artisan makers, bakers, creators, specialist food and drink producers and more to Market Square flexing with the seasons. Check out our What’s On pages to find information on the next Sunday Market.
