Prepare to get swept away on a magical adventure as the Queens Park Pantomime returns with a brand-new adaptation of an all-time classic tale. There’s trouble in Oz. Elma the Wicked Witch of the West is determined to seize control of all the magic in the land, and it’s up to Glinda the Good Witch of the North to stop her. A magical spell brings Dorothy Gale to Glinda’s aide, but even the two of them may not be strong enough. To defeat Elma, they’re going to need help from the greatest sorcerer ever known – the mighty and powerful Wizard of Oz. Only the Wizard is not all he seems. Hidden away in Emerald City is a dreadful secret; one that could spell disaster for everyone…
This must-see family pantomime is packed full of slapstick and songs, dances and derring-do, and features beautiful handmade scenery, costumes, and props from the artists and makers of Queens Park Arts Centre. The show is produced by Queens Park’s in-house storytelling company Unbound, and once again features amazing dance routines choreographed and performed by SDSD.
A mix of matinee and evening performances are available on Fridays and Saturdays plus a few extra weekday performances; visit www.queensparkarts.com for information on all dates and prices.
