Buckinghamshire History Festival it taking place throughout November and celebrates the brilliant heritage of our county through a fantastic series of events!  Brought to you by Buckinghamshire Archives and partners the festival will bring the past to life with tours, talks, and theatre from organisations across the county.

Buckinghamshire Archives are the County Archives and Local Studies Library for the historic county of Buckinghamshire and they are based here in Aylesbury.  There are several opportunities during the festival to find out more about what goes on there with an exclusive tour through the archive strong rooms!

We are spoilt for choice with many events taking place in and around Aylesbury including interesting talks on Bletchley Park, Victorian Crime and Punishment and Colossus the world’s first digital electronic computer!  You’ll have a chance to explore Judges Lodgings, visit the historic Quainton Windmill or enjoy a wine cellar tour and tasting at Waddesdon Manor. You could take part in a history quiz at The Library Bar or enjoy a performance telling brand new stories about the Dinton Hermit at Queens Park Arts Centre.
